Héctor Peña Manterola

Héctor Peña Manterola (Cantabria, 1995) trained as a historian and is the author of several successful novels such as Cabárceno, MIMO, and Mo-Ho.


Influenced by authors like Stephen King, Michael Crichton, and J. R. R. Tolkien, Héctor has received several literary recognitions such as the runner-up in the Generación Pandemia contest (2020) for his story The Silence of the Crows, or the victory in the Relatos Viajeros contest (2022) for his tale Where Perhaps Never, included in the anthology Fluid Mechanics along with twenty-one other short stories.

Héctor is a member of Pórtico, the Spanish Association of Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Horror. Additionally, he collaborates as a cultural journalist at Culturamas, where he writes in his column Land of Passage.
